The Democrat Civil War: Justice Democrats Fight Back

It’s real. It’s on. And the Bernie bros are not backing down.

Remember this old Twitter poll by leftist commentator Krystal Ball at TheHill on 12-13 February? That was right after Bernie Sanders’s victory in the New Hampshire primary and gave us an inkling of what was to come.

Note that ~63% of over 66,000 votes cast were in favor of the third category: “Neither/stay home.” Okay, okay, it’s unscientific, but it is a fairly winnable bet that a lot more Bernie bros will stay home in 2020 if they perceive the nomination is stolen like it almost certainly was in 2016 (some 10% didn’t vote).

And what do you suppose the Bernie bros are feeling right now, given what the Democrat Establishment figures are saying and opining in the legacy media? We covered some of that anti-Bernie commentary from the likes of Hillary Clinton, James Carville, James Clyburn, Chris Matthews, and Joe Lockart in this article.

Are the Bernie bros going to just roll over this year now that their guy is the front runner? Looks like they’re pushing back bigly:

They’re defending their guy Bernie and are even taking on the NY Times editorial board, too, which is a major star in the Democrat Establishment’s firmament:

The Justice Democrats are a leftwing political action committee founded on January 23, 2017, by Kyle Kulinski of Secular Talk, Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks, and Saikat Chakrabarti and Zack Exley, former leaders from the 2016 Bernie Sanders presidential campaign. They maintain close ties with Faiz Shakir, Bernie Sanders’s current campaign manager who is a Muslim born to Pakistani immigrants. Oh, and Chakrabarti was Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign manager and a key author of the “Green New Deal.” A card-carrying leftist if there ever was one.

Here is the mission of the Justice Democrats from their website:

Justice Democrats is working to elect a mission-driven caucus in Congress that will fight for solutions that match the scale of our many crises: skyrocketing inequality, catastrophic climate change, deepening structural racism as the country becomes more diverse, and the corporate takeover of our democracy.

We need a Democratic Party that fights for its voters, not just its corporate donors. That’s why we helped elect leaders like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to Congress. We need leadership in the Democratic Party that will represent and fight for our communities.

Fighting for the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, free college, ending mass incarceration and deportation and rejecting all corporate PAC money.

Yep, right down Bernie’s alley – and of course they’re all in for Bernie in 2020. Why wouldn’t they be since they’re all socialists, too? They also support a whole slate of leftwing candidates this year (may they all be soundly defeated in November!)

These people sense ideological victory in November and will do everything they can to drag Bernie across the finish line. And as their tweet indicates, they’ve declared war on the Democrat Establishment.

The Democrat National Convention in Milwaukee in July is shaping up to eclipse their 1968 convention in terms of chaos and, quite possibly, violence. At that convention, Americans got their first glimpse of the violent radical Left, with the antics of the Youth International Party (Yippies) and the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). Those people instigated a riot that made famous eight of the radical leaders who were incarcerated – the so-called “Chicago Eight”: Abbie Hoffman, Bobby Seale, Tom Hayden, Jerry Rubin, Rennie Davis, David Dellinger, Lee Weiner, and John Froines. They blazed the activist trail for the Justice Democrats and Antifa.

Come July, I wonder who the “Milwaukee Mutts” will be? There are a lot of candidates among the Bernie bros, Justice Democrats, Antifa, and even The Squad. This summer is going to be lit!

The end.
