BREAKING: January 6 Committee Refers Criminal Charges Against President Trump and Others

The January 6 Committee has announced it is referring criminal charges to the Department of Justice for possible prosecution, see First Details of Donald Trump Criminal Referrals Show the Abject Idiocy of the January 6th Committee and Confirmed: January 6th Committee Will Jump the Shark With Final Move Against Donald Trump. By “possible,” I mean, of course, Merrick Garland will seek indictments and, if possible, prosecute the charges.

(1)alters, destroys, mutilates, or conceals a record, document, or other object, or attempts to do so, with the intent to impair the object’s integrity or availability for use in an official proceeding; or

shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.
