Dan Crenshaw's Reports on CRT in Our Woke Military Shows That the Institution Is Rotten and the Long March Through It Is Nearly Complete

About a month ago, Arkansas Senator and combat veteran Tom Cotton, along with Texas Representative and Purple Heart recipient Dan Crenshaw created a “hotline” where members of the military could report instances of Critical Race Theory (CRT) being inflicted upon the Armed Forces. CRT claims that racism and discrimination are a pervasive part of our society and that “people of color,” women, and sexual deviants are prevented from achieving their true potential because of that racism and discrimination. The only way to rectify the situation is to ensure equity, which is defined as equality of outcomes. Outcomes are achieved by managing people based on their race. This has led to some profoundly stupid and disturbing events.

Here are a few of the items that have been reported thus far.

There is no room in the military or any organization for this kind of racist and sexist bullsh** where substandard performance places life in jeopardy. It creates an environment where people are going to be the objects of racial and gender discrimination. It leads to a loss of trust and confidence in the chain of command when combat leaders openly denigrate white male soldiers as “part of the problem.”

It leads to sexual perversion and dysfunction being hailed as an example, see Nevada Air Force Base Hosts Drag Show, and It’s Part of a Softer, Gentler Military. It leads to officers being purged because they object to the destruction of morale, good order, and discipline in the service of creating racial division, see Military Officer Fired Over Criticism of Marxist Ideology Creeping Into Armed Forces.

When Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin (let me observe that to all appearances Austin is Black–I could be wrong because race is just a social construct and who knows–and not only rose to the rank of four-star general but is now the civilian overseer of the Armed Forces of the United States, so I have no idea how he got the job other than tokenism as we’ve been told meritocracy is a white supremacist concept) and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Mark Milley was called out on this garbage at a hearing by the House Armed Services Committee, they couldn’t give anything approaching a coherent response. See SecDef Austin and JCS Chairman Milley Show They Are Completely Devoted to Critical Race Theory at the Expense of Combat Effectiveness.

When Tucker Carlson had the effrontery to call out this nonsense, he was subjected to direct attacks by the Pentagon (The Official Outrage Over Tucker Carlson’s Critique of Joe Biden’s Military Shows Just How Lost Our Military Is) and Pentagon surrogates (Retired Gen. McCaffrey Gets His Knickers Wadded Over Tucker Carlson Being Mean to Gen. Milley Over CRT in the Military).

This is silly and childish, but it is not a game. In my view were are facing what I believe to be a move by Communist China to “reunify” Nationalist China. We have a Navy that doesn’t seem to be competent at much of anything and is lagging in key metrics such as numbers of warships and missile reloads. This is not to say the other services are more competent, only that we haven’t had a front-row seat on their failures like that we’ve had with the Navy playing bumper cars and burning down its own ships in the Western Pacific.

The military appears to be in the final stages of an overt effort to convert it to an openly Marxist institution. Italian Gramsci posited the strategy for overthrowing Western governments back in the 1930s. He said, in a nutshell, that most Western governments were impervious to direct overthrow. To pave the way, institutions and society must be co-opted. This strategy was captured by West German communist Rudi Dutschke in the phrase “long march through the institutions.” Gramsci said that at a certain point, these institutions would be sufficiently corrupted, or woke, to be vulnerable to a coup de main. Resisters are being purged. The leadership is coopted. The rank and file are being indoctrinated in principles and conduct that is not only counterproductive to military discipline and efficiency but which is contrary to American values. Can this be stopped? The outlook is not good.
