Kamala Harris Is Biden's VP Pick and This Is Why the Left Is Happy About That Choice

So…Joe Biden has made his pick. As was to be expected, there were a lot of takes.

There was the rather bizarre…

In June, Biden said he would pick a black woman — or woman of color, in the woke vernacular — as his running mate. This effectively limited the field to three candidates: Stacy Abrams, who refused to resign as Governor of Georgia; Susan Rice; and Kamala Harris. Last Friday, Politico published a story claiming Harris was the pick on July 28. Their politics aside, outside from anything from Natasha Bertrand, Politico is pretty careful with their stories. For the past few months, the betting markets had Harris as the favorite until last week when she suddenly sold a large amount of stock. To claim she was not the favorite is to engage in alt-history.

And there was fawning:

As an aside, let me say that I will not be the least bit surprised if National Review endorses a Biden/Harris ticket:

But the most bizarre take is that Harris will somehow destroy Mike Pence in the sole Vice Presidential debate.

I really have no idea why anyone thinks that would happen or why it actually matters, Lloyd Bentsen destroyed Dan Quayle in their 1908 debate:

It did nothing to bring on a Dukakis landslide.

If you think Harris is some kind of masterful debater (a master-bater, if you will…stop throwing things at me), this is how Harris was knocked out of the Democrat primary in about 90 seconds.

Keep in mind, none of the facts in this napalm strike by Tulsi Gabbard have changed, and the political landscape in regards to criminal justice reform is much more fraught than it was earlier in the year.

I’m sure some comment is going to be made about the so-called “Pence Rule.”

And if that happens, I hope Mike Pence has this ready for return fire:
