While Portland, because of the active connivance between the mayor and the Antifa goons working under the BLM banner, has become the visible symbol of anarchist street thugs attacking federal property, for the past month, federal facilities in a lot of
Third World Democrat-run cities have been targeted for vandalism and destruction. The deployment of federal law enforcement officers to Portland has had a detrimental effect on the operations of Antifa there. According to reports, federal law enforcement is relying heavily on video, and one must assume facial recognition software, to identify key terrorist leaders. Once identified, they are being arrested without incident while in their Mom’s basement. This gradual attrition of the instigators has not immediately reduced the size of the mobs but it has made them significantly less effective.
Last last week, Acting Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Ken Cuccinelli told NPR that the administration is taking the tactics pioneered in Portland to other cities.
Well, we are – we welcome – the more investigations, the better. With as much lawbreaking is going on, we’re seeking to prosecute as many people as are breaking the law as it relates to federal jurisdiction. That’s not always happening with respect to local jurisdiction and local offenses. But, you know, this is a posture we intend to continue not just in Portland but in any of the facilities that we’re responsible for around the country.

That effectiveness and the plan to expand it led the New York Times, I believe, to publish the blatantly false story that the agents in Portland were not trained in crowd control to try to stop the national deployment. In fact, the Border Patrol unit in Portland, BORTAC, which is the Border Patrol’s SWAT unit, is the organization that trains the Border Patrol in crowd control. Now President Trump has announced that federal law enforcement will be deployed to New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit, Baltimore, Oakland.

President Trump specifically mentions Chicago at the end of the above clip and it has been announced that Chicago will get 150 Homeland Security agents by this weekend.
I also think President Trump is exactly right that many people in authority act afraid to take action. Though you have some municipal leaders who are so closely allied with Antifa that they might as well wear a black hoodie, many others act terrified of the idea of confronting these hoodlums.
Regardless, these masked LARPing revolutionaries are about to discover what it is like to confront a professional organization whose leadership they can neither intimidate nor coopt and they are also going to find out what it is like to spend time in a federal lock up.
