Ever since President Trump first began touting anecdotal stories and the results of small scale clinical trials of the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine to reduce the effects of Wuhan virus, the media has been actively at war with him. At first, he was accused of ‘practicing medicine without a license,’ the attacks reached a new low yesterday when Trump was personally blamed for some unfortunate souls ingesting a pool treatment chemical, chloroquine phosphate,

Note: the words in chemical compositions actually mean very specific things, they aren’t just chosen at random.

Yesterday, in what can only taken as an attempt to stick his thumb in the eye of the President, Nevada Governor Sisolak forbade the prescription of hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine to treat Wuhan virus. For the professional fact checkers, Sisolak has walked back his prohibition by saying it only pertained to outpatients filling prescriptions, but the order is quite clear and specific and quite possibly illegal as the use of drugs is a uniquely federal responsibility and it is doubtful that the governor has the authority to interject himself into the medical treatment prescribed by doctors to their patients.

All of this has been to no avail, as the use of the antimalarials is gaining acceptance and no less an authority than Dr. Anthony Fauci of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases has said that he would not hesitate to use them on a patient with Wuhan virus. This is from yesterday morning on Tuesday on Chris Stigall’s show on Philadelphia’s AM 990.

STIGALL:If you’re a doctor listening to me right now and a patient with coronavirus feels like they want to try [Chloroquine] and you’re their doctor, you’re not Anthony Fauci the guy running the coronavirus task force, would you say ‘alright, we’ll give it a whirl’?

FAUCI: Yeah, of course, particularly if people have no other option. You want to give them hope. In fact, for physicians in this country, these drugs are approved drugs for other reasons. They’re anti-malaria drugs and they’re drugs against certain autoimmune diseases, like lupus. Physicians throughout the country can prescribe that in an off-label way. Which means they can write it for something it was not originally approved for. People do that all the time, and it really is an individual choice between the physician and his or her patient as to whether or not they want to do that.

Never to be out done in any NeverTrumping activity, Bloomberg, that would be the outlet owned by the diminutive would-be totalitarian of the same name which refuses to carry any negative reports on any Democrat candidate while still attacking the Trump administration, is publicizing a Chinese medical study…say it slowly Chinese…Medical…Study…that claims despite an increasing body of evidence to the contrary that hydroxychloroquine does not have any effect on Wuhan virus.

Hydroxychloroquine, a medicine for malaria that President Donald Trump has touted as a treatment for coronavirus, was no more effective than conventional care, a small study found.

The report published by the Journal of Zhejiang University in China showed that patients who got the medicine didn’t fight off the new coronavirus more often than those who did not get the medicine.

The study involved just 30 patients. Of the 15 patients given the malaria drug, 13 tested negative for the coronavirus after a week of treatment. Of the 15 patients who didn’t get hydroxychloroquine, 14 tested negative for the virus.

The results of the study weren’t statistically significant.

Why would Bloomberg conduct a dumpster dive and pull up a small clinical trial from the nation directly responsible for the global pandemic to criticize a particular therapy that looks so promising that large numbers of medical staff are taking the drug as a prophylaxis and New York state is carrying out a large scale trial…I mean other that being totally devoid of ethics or a conscience? Easy.

Trump has said several times that he is confident the medicine will work. On Saturday, Vice President Mike Pence also touted the drug at a White House event.

“Doctors can now prescribe chloroquine for that off-label purpose of dealing with the symptoms of coronavirus,” Pence said. “The president’s very optimistic.”

Let’s be serious, the so-called Journal of Zhejiang University not only originates in a Chinese University and is written up by employees of the same government that a) let this pandemic start, b) abetted its spread by its lies, c) blamed the US military for starting it, and d) disappears people who have said politically embarrassing things about the way China has handled everything, it has an impact factor that is about the same as an internet newsletter. This is not a reputable study from a trusted source. It is a small study that may or may not have taken place under the guidance and supervision of a Chicom apparatchik and the Chicom propaganda machine.

The only reason that Bloomberg is touting this article, other than to beclown itself, is to try to damage President Trump. Period.

I’m not saying the press is the enemy of the American people, but it they were what would they be doing differently from what they are doing right now?
