While President Trump was at the World Economic Forum at Davos and listening to rando teenagers lecture world leaders on the importance of going back to the Stone Age in order to save the planet, he was asked about impeachment and if he would attend.
President @realDonaldTrump when asked if he'll appear at Senate impeachment trial:
"I'd love to go, wouldn't that be great? … I'd sort of love to sit in the front row and stare in their corrupt faces." 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/EzDAy924zn

REPORTER: Would ou wat to show up at your trial any day?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: I would love to go. Wouldn’t that be great? I’d sit right in the front row and stare in their corrupt faces. I’d love to do it.
REPORTER: So why not?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Don’t keep talking because you may convince me to do it. You may convince me to do it.
That clip was quickly followed by this from Kentucky Senator Rand Paul:
I heard @realDonaldTrump would like to attend the impeachment trial. Mr. President, would love to have you as my guest during this partisan charade. pic.twitter.com/GhTZ9Ez4U4

President Trump really should consider taking Paul up on his invitation. It would be epic. It would also be in keeping with the very best of Anglo-Saxon legal tradition…no, not trial by combat, though that would be epic, too…in which the accused gets the opportunity to confront his accuser directly.
We all know this prosecution is a sham and simply the Democrats grubbing for electoral advantage in the 2020 presidential and senatorial races. Trump showing up to confront Schiff or Nadler in public would be a fitting climax to this whole sorry show.
