Schiff was probably included on the list not only because he’s a rabid Trump hater but because it might prevent Republican senators from calling him as one of their witnesses.

White House Counsel Pat Cipollone will lead the President’s defense. His team will be President Trump’s counsel, Jay Sekulow, and two attorneys from the White House Counsel’s office, Michael Purpura and Patrick Philbin.
