Ever since the early days of the “punch a Nazi” craze, I’ve warned that with a little bit of bad luck we could be looking at home grown American versions of the street fights between Spartakusaufstand and Freikorps in Germany of 1919. Individual and group behavior mirrors that of nations, when you start buying weapons and training in order to attack a specific person or group or country, the logic virtually inevitably leads to mayhem.

For reasons that I don’t understand at all, the mouthbreathing douchebags of the Antifa movement have concluded that a crackdown by Trump (aka The Worst Hitler Ever) is coming and they are arming an training in order to be prepared. This is from The New Republic:

Liberals are notoriously loath to take their own side in a fight. But their reticence may well be changing in an age of vigilante, white nationalist terror—openly condoned and supported by an incumbent president who has suggested that his armed devotees won’t stand for his removal from office. Increasingly, the antifa left is arguing—and training—in response. They are worried not only about an armed reckoning following a contested election, but also about rising violence from the paramilitaries loyal to President Donald Trump.

This is not alone, Vox.com had a story about how the left needs to arm itself:

Right-wingers have held an unearned monopoly on gun culture for too long. Whether it’s in the halls of legislative power or in the comments under “gun bunny” photos on Instagram, there is a prevailing narrative that pegs guns and armed self-defense exclusively to Republicans, racist libertarians, and other generally Constitution-obsessed weirdos. It maintains that those on the left want to take away everyone’s guns and swathe the entire country in bubble wrap. But I’m an anarchist, and I call bullshit.

I’m of the firm opinion that it’s time to not only arm the left but challenge the narrative that all leftists are anti-gun. Many are, and that’s a position I can understand and respect. But there is also a long history of armed community self-defense among the radical left that is often glossed over or forgotten entirely in favor of the Fox News-friendly narrative that all liberals hate guns. That’s simply not the case — though as history has proven, the only thing that scares the reactionary right more than the idea of losing their guns is the thought of us having them.

 

And they aren’t necessarily talking trash. A loose network under the umbrella of the “Socialist Rifle Association” has appeared.

Apparently, the FBI is investigating an attempt by these yahoos to buy firearms from Mexican drug cartels…probably the same one Eric Holder’s Justice Department sold to them during Fast & Furious.

There is this unintentionally hilarious piece in BuzzFeed about Antifa engaging in hand-to-hand combat training (check out the muscle tone of the “trainers” and tell me if you’d take their class).

I don’t take these people seriously as a threat but we are on a course that will inevitably end in bloodshed. The very nature of the Antifa–mob driven, cowardly, and weak–combined with firearms training and access preordains that it is just a matter of time before one of them opens fire during one of their bouts of street theater. Once blood is drawn, we will be into a tit-for-tat exchange until, again inevitably, civilians get killed. What would be really useful would be for the Justice Department to start treating these Antifa hoodlums like they did the Mafia and use RICO indictments to send them away for a long time and confiscate the houses where they live. It won’t happen, because the Justice Department and law enforcement apparatus has shown itself totally uninterested in the violent left an obsessed with guys like Randy Weaver and the Bundy clan.
