Ilhan Omar. Ilhan. Omar. Ilhan. Freakin. Omar.

When the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board released its report requiring the pro-terrorist, anti-American, anti-Semitic bigot who happens to represent Minnesota’s Fifth Congressional to pay nearly $3,500 in fines and restitution for diverting campaign contributions to her own personal use, they buried the lede. Apparently, she not only scammed her contributors to enrich herself, she also engaged is several years of calculated income tax fraud.

To understand the tax fraud, let’s look at Omar’s official marriage history, or her stories of her marriage history, as aggregated by Wikipedia:

In 2002 she became engaged to Ahmed Hirsi (né Aden). The couple applied for a marriage license, but the application was not finalized. The couple had two children together before separating in 2008. The next year Omar married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, a British citizen. In 2011 she and Elmi had a faith-based divorce,[146] and that year she reconciled with Hirsi, with whom she had a third child in 2012. In 2017 Elmi and Omar were legally divorced,[35] and in 2018 Omar and Hirsi were legally married.[19]

Briefly:

Married to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in 2009.

Divorced Elmi in 2107.

Married Ahmed Hirsi in 2018.

This is from the report of investigation:

So, for at least two years, Omar was married to one guy and apparently shacking up with another guy and telling the IRS they were married. The secondary point here is that the Minnesota investigation was only interested in the years that involved the activities of her fundraising committee. There is a good chance that she did this for quite a few more years.

Yeah, the whole incestuous marriage thing is distasteful, but who are we to judge, right? I mean love is love, or so I was told.

For a normal person this would be frowned upon by the IRS. In this case, you’d be safe betting a large sum of money that nothing happens. Why? A) She’s a Democrat. B) She’s an Administration and Trump critic. C) She’s a black Muslim. D) She’s a woman. E) She’s a member of Congress. While no one of those would necessarily be a Get-Out-Of-Jail-Free card alone, together they amount to depleted uranium armor with a deflector shield and Romunlan cloaking device built in.
