On Tuesday night, it looked like Matt Rosendale would edge out noted cow and pig slaughterer Jon Tester in the race for Montana’s Senate seat.
It described it as being 100% in, but in fact, those precincts are partially reporting. There are eight counties still at least partially out, and Tester leads in seven of them. So we should see things break his way today. https://t.co/lHTjszbYYk

I mean, you can conjure scenarios where the student vote in Missoula is disproportionately early/absentee. I just don't know that's where the money should be laid down.

When those uncounted votes were counted, they went disproportionately for Tester.
Incumbent Democratic Sen. Jon Tester jumped to a razor-thin 1,022-vote lead Wednesday morning in this year’s midterm election for U.S. Senate in Montana. He is running against Republican state Auditor Matt Rosendale.
Early Wednesday morning, Rosendale held a slight lead with possibly 70,000 votes left to count, according to some estimates. As those votes started to come in, Tester retook the lead that he held when polls closed last night. The race is still too close to call.
Tester held 49 percent of the vote, or 211,596 votes, to Rosendale’s 48 percent, or 210,574 votes, according to data from the Secretary of State’s office at 9:40 a.m.
