This is a guy who is not running for national office but who knows his constituents:

I just introduced the Second Amendment for Every Registrable Voter Act. HR 5112, The SAFER Voter Act, would repeal the federal law that prevents voting age adults, 18 to 20, from purchasing a handgun from a FFL.

I think he’s right on the merits. The silly argument that someone who can’t buy a beer shouldn’t be able to buy a firearm has always struck me more as solid reason for lowering the drinking age than raising the age to purchase a firearm.

This bill isn’t going anywhere and is more properly viewed as equal parts theater and response the the incoherent word salad President Trump slung about yesterday
