I’m agnostic on the presence of Donald Trump in the GOP primaries. I’m definitely not in the same camp with some of my colleagues. I think, at this point in the campaign, Trump is serving a very useful function. But there are things that he does that simply calls into question his own judgment (the rather broad statement about Mexicans and crime, for instance) and now the same question arise about the people he has around him.
Earlier today Trump’s campaign organization sent out this tweet:
Train your eyes on the troop silhouettes in the lower right quadrant of the image. Do the coal-scuttle helmets and Kar-98 rifles seem vaguely familiar.
.@charles_gaba @MichaelNiemerg @realDonaldTrump they’re wearing Waffen-SS cuff titles, FFS…dude on left has late-war SS “dot” camo uniform

Again: these are not “Germans” — they’re Waffen-SS. Yes, 100% certain about that. https://t.co/b3pwWmdwHY — John Schindler (@20committee) July 14, 2015
Notice the late-war Waffen-SS “dot” camo tunic, with SS eagle on left arm as in the Trump pic https://t.co/b3pwWmdwHY pic.twitter.com/ulScwicbZU
