James Comer Prepares to Make Political Life Very Difficult for Tim Walz, and I Am So Here for It
Here we are closing in on the end of 2025, and Tim Walz isn't laughing anymore, thanks in part to the wave of fraud scandals in his state, all of which happened under his watch, and which equate not to just millions in stolen taxpayer money but billions.
While Hillary and her media allies chase ratings with one-sided documentaries portraying tattooed Tren de Aragua suspects as wide-eyed lambs, Bukele is spotlighting the real human rights victory—the millions of law-abiding Salvadorans and Americans protected by tough deportations who no longer live in fear.
Kennedy Center Honors Event Has a Special Host and a Rocking Good Time
And in that moment, like the people who were being honored, you could feel all that it had taken to get him there, past everything that had been thrown at him. It was the first time a president had ever hosted the event.
Trending Across Townhall Media
NRA Calls Out Propaganda Pretending to be News
The mainstream media still largely pretends to be neutral, at least to the general public, yet run reports from both KFF and The Trace without any critical thinking applied. They allow their publications to be mouthpieces for blatantly anti-gun efforts that simply pretend they're unbiased journalism.
An Amateur Detective May Have Solved Six of California's Most Notorious Murders
There are a lot of kooks out there calling themselves investigators these days, but Alex Baber seems to have really done it.
Is This the Most Disgusting Thing Alec Baldwin Has Ever Said?
Everything doesn't have to be said publicly, especially when it's this tone-deaf. I stand by my assertion that Baldwin doesn't come across as a particularly decent human being.
Brown seems prepared for lawsuits, soliciting the counsel of a former US attorney and suspending the university police chief as the Trump administration announced it would be investigating the lax security conditions.
The saying "mercy to criminals is cruelty to the innocent" comes to mind when watching the Democrats these days go to the mat for illegal alien gang bangers, not to mention drug runners for the cartels.
WHAT'S ON TAP?
Today on Capitol Hill...
I think I have a love-hate relationship with Congress being on break. On the one hand, they're not up to their usual shenanigans. On the other hand, that leaves not much to write about for this portion of the column.
We did get confirmation on Tuesday that Republican Rep. Harriet Hageman (WY-AL) will be running for the Senate seat that will be open with Cynthia Lummis' retirement.
We also sadly received the heartbreaking news of former Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse's pancreatic cancer diagnosis.
White House What's Up
On Wednesday afternoon, President Trump will participate in NORAD Santa calls. After that, he'll participate in calls with service members.
Keeping Up With the Cabinet
Sec. Agriculture - Brooke Rollins — On Tuesday, Rollins teased an announcement regarding family (Christmas tree?) farms.

Full Court Press...
The courts were a tad quieter on Tuesday, though there were two notable decisions:
- ❌ Zaid v. Trump (revocation of security clearance/actions against law firms) — Judge Amir Ali (D.C.) GRANTS plaintiff's motion for preliminary injunction.
- ❌ State of Illinois v. Trump (National Guard deployment) — SCOTUS DENIES the administration's application for stay of the district court TRO.

COMING ATTRACTIONS
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
MORNING MUSING
It's probably bad business for me to encourage y'all to spend your Christmas Eve and Christmas Day offline, so I'll encourage you to at least come check out RedState. (Of course!) But I will offer this suggestion: Do yourself a favor and don't spend the holidays doomscrolling through social media. Spend it with loved ones, connecting with them face to face and eye to eye as much as possible.
There's plenty of Sturm und Drang swirling around out there — and it will still be there when the holidays are over. For now, give yourself a break and give your loved ones the present of your presence — both physically and mentally.
That is my Christmas wish for each of you. Merry Christmas, friends!
