Breaking: Reports of 3 People Killed in Explosion at LA County Sheriff Dept. Training Facility (Updated)

There's breaking news out of Los Angeles Friday morning involving an explosion at the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s training facility in East L.A. The details are slim at the moment, but three deaths are confirmed and reported to be L.A. County sheriff deputies.

Bill Melugin shared the details on X: 

BREAKING: Our LA @FoxNews producer @AlexandriaHrndz is told by multiple law enforcement sources that three people are dead after an explosion at a LA County Sheriff Department’s training facility in East LA this morning. Happened at the Biscailuz training center.

The three deaths are confirmed to be LA County Sheriff’s Deputies. The FBI Los Angeles office tells us they are now responding to the scene. Initial indications we are being told is this appears to be a terrible accident.

Investigative reporter CeCe Woods also shared available information:

#BREAKING Reports of an explosion at the Biscailuz Center (BC), home to LASD’s Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB), Arson, and other specialized units. Early, unconfirmed info suggests up to 3, possibly 4 personnel may have been killed in the blast.

As noted in Woods' post, the Biscailuz Center is where LASD's Special Enforcement Bureau, Arson, and other specialized units train.

Update - 12:15 PM Eastern

Per Fox News producer, Alexandria Hernandez, three deputies are confirmed dead, but no other injuries are reported. This appears to be an accident related to moving ordnance on the property.
