If you're going to come to a Congressional hearing armed with incorrect information that makes you look foolish in the process, you might not want to act too surprised at why approval ratings for Congress are much worse than the people you're there to criticize.

In the end, it wasn’t just a debate; it was a humiliation. Bernie Sanders came armed with tired slogans. Joe Rogan came armed with facts, context, and common sense.

And, of course, the wrangling and drama over the One Big Beautiful Bill proceeds apace. Will they? Or won't they?
White House What's Up
President Donald Trump is attending the NATO Summit in the Netherlands, where he appears to be meeting with a warm reception. Following a photo-op and breakfast with the King and Queen in the morning, he met with/is meeting with NATO's Secretary General Mark Rutte. There will be more photos, sessions, and meetings, and then in the afternoon, Trump will participate in a press conference before leaving to head back to D.C.
Vice President JD Vance delivered remarks at the Ohio Republican Party dinner Tuesday evening and shared a particularly funny story regarding his boss.
Full Court Press...
The Supreme Court is set to hand down additional opinions on Thursday (we believe), but I'll be watching them closely today to see whether/how they respond to the administration's motion for clarification regarding their most recent order in the D.V.D. v. DHS case (involving the removal of criminal illegal aliens to third countries).
This could be big — in a good way...or a bad way.
COMING ATTRACTIONS
Those Supreme Court decisions on Thursday should be notable as well, as we're down to the last few (and some of the thornier issues).
And keep an eye on the Senate — their time to move on the OBBB is winding down. As I said, brace for drama.
MORNING MUSING
Credit to Carol Roth for reminding me of a Don Henley song I always both liked and hated, "New York Minute" — a catchy, evocative tune, but terribly depressing. Since I saw Roth's tweet Tuesday night, it has, of course, become my latest earworm. While the opening of the song portrays a Wall Street worker's suicide-by-train, the overall sentiment is how quickly life can change on you.
I expect New Yorkers understand that better than anyone. And if not, or if they've forgotten, I expect they're about to be reminded of it, given the outcome of Tuesday's mayoral Democratic primary. Seems a pretty fitting tune, after all.
