Donald Trump Proven Right Again—LA Riots Fizzle As Overwhelming Force Shows Who's Boss
The rogues' gallery of Golden State politicians who claim they’re powerless to solve the problem has been completely exposed by Trump. Just like with the manufactured border crisis—which Trump solved within days—the lawlessness problem can be solved equally effectively, as the president has shown.
Sen John Fetterman Torches His Own Party Over Response to Anarchy in Los Angeles
"I unapologetically stand for free speech, peaceful demonstrations, and immigration—but this is not that," Fetterman wrote on X. "This is anarchy and true chaos."

Gun Control Attorney Tries to Spin SCOTUS Defeat Into Victory
Lowy can try to spin last week's 9-0 loss into a moral victory if he wants, but the truth is that Smith & Wesson v. Mexico was an unmitigated disaster for the gun control lobby, and one that will have far-reaching consequences for years to come.
It Looks Like the Revolution Kiddies Are Planning a June 14th Party
Trump and his successes so far threaten the Left's very power base with every day that goes by.
Is Donald Trump the Only Adult in the Room? Here's What He's Really Doing in L.A.
If leftists did actually care about people, they'd take a look at the list of illegal immigrants that the Trump administration has taken out of Los Angeles in recent days and go out into the streets and celebrate and applaud the president for making the city and the state of California safer.

Beyond Parody: WaPo Is Suddenly VERY CONCERNED About Illegals Being Forced Off of Martha's Vineyard
They completely contradicted their narrative from just a few years ago, they accidentally confirmed the truth that leftists love slave labor, and they may have inadvertently implicated everyone in federal crimes.
WHAT'S ON TAP?
Today on Capitol Hill...
It's going to be a busy day on the Hill Tuesday — lots of hearings/meetings scheduled, including some with Cabinet member testimony that's sure to be...well, interesting. Today's hearings include:
- House Appropriations, Defense Subcommittee — Oversight Hearing – The Department of Defense [Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to testify, along with Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Dan "Razin" Caine]
- House Homeland Security, Transportation and Maritime Security Subcommittee — “From Cartels to Coastlines: An Examination of U.S. Federal Efforts to Confront Illicit Maritime Activities in U.S. Waters”
- House Intelligence (Permanent Select), Central Intelligence Agency Subcommittee — FY 2026 Budget Request for the Central Intelligence Agency (Closed) [CIA Director John Ratcliffe to testify]

- House Appropriations, Departments of Transportation, and Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Subcommittee — Budget Hearing – U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development [HUD Secretary Scott Turner to testify]
- House Oversight and Government Reform — “Securing Americans’ Genetic Information: Privacy and National Security Concerns Surrounding 23andMe’s Bankruptcy Sale”
- Senate Homeland Security, Governmental Operations and Border Management Subcommittee — Oversight hearings to examine the Federal Government's border management and personnel readiness efforts for the decade of sports [This had me scratching my head, too, but appears to be, at least in part, about security/readiness for the LA Olympics and Paralympics]
- Senate Appropriations, Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education, and Related Agencies Subcommittee — Hearings to examine proposed budget estimates for fiscal year 2026 for the National Institutes of Health [NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya to testify]
- House Small Business, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Workforce Development Subcommittee — “Beyond the Ballpark: The Role of Minor Leagues in Economic Growth”
In addition, the House Rules Committee will be meeting to markup H.R. 4, the "Rescissions Act of 2025."
On Monday, the House passed two resolutions condemning antisemitism — one specific to the attack in Boulder, Colorado, last Sunday. Additionally, House Homeland Security Chair Mark Green announced he would be retiring from Congress following the vote on the Big, Beautiful Bill.
White House What's Up
President Donald Trump will head to Fort Bragg in North Carolina on Tuesday afternoon to attend a military demonstration and deliver remarks ahead of the celebration of the Army's 250th birthday.
Full Court Press...
The big (ish) court news on Monday was that California Governor Gavin Newsom filed suit against President Trump and SecDef Pete Hegseth over the deployment of National Guard troops to L.A. Here are some fun facts about the suit, helpfully noted by our friend Shipwreckedcrew:
The National Guard are being deployed to the Central District of Los Angeles.
— Shipwreckedcrew (@shipwreckedcrew) June 9, 2025
The Capitol of California is Sacramento - in the Eastern District of California.
And the Newsom Administration has now filed suit in the Northern District of California - San Francisco.
Surely there's no forum shopping going on there, right?! I've not read the full complaint yet, but my sense is that even with a favorable judge, it may not work out so well for Gav in the long run.
COMING ATTRACTIONS
As noted, President Trump will be at Fort Bragg this afternoon, delivering remarks there ahead of the Army's big 250th Birthday celebration this Saturday, with Saturday also being targeted as a day of protest by the usual suspects. Expect things to get chippy.
The Congressional Baseball Game will take place Wednesday night — will the Republicans make it five-for-five?
MORNING MUSING
California Governor Gavin Newsom has gone pretty far in life — not that he didn't start off with a sizable advantage in terms of his benefactors. Serving as the governor of the Golden State is a pretty big deal. And yet, time and again, he's shown a distinct lack of leadership. It's like he has all of the raw ingredients to concoct a successful political leader, but he lacks the ability to mix and bind them all together in a way that presents as authentic. He's a hair too slick and too clever by half, and it winds up making him look thirsty — and fake.
He'll continue to (unconvincingly) thump his chest at President Trump and make eyes at 2028. And maybe that would have been enough in 2012 or even 2016. I would never suggest writing him off altogether, but I think the American electorate has had its fill of his phony baloney.
Here's Gavin Newsom in June of 2024 telling Republicans to stop playing politics and to send some National Guard to California to help with the border.

It was election time so it was time to pretend to be for law and order.
Today Newsom announced that he is suing Trump because… pic.twitter.com/2TANRrmITW
And just for good measure, I'll note that his "take" on the purportedly dire conditions National Guard troops deployed to his state are facing exposes the fraud for who he really is.
I'm not sure anything better encapsulates the pampered, entitled, disconnected existence of Gavin Newsom than his "hot take" on deployed National Guard troops. https://t.co/S8Au9XIbvT
