BREAKING: Chief Justice John Roberts Issues Statement Following Trump's Call for Impeachment of Judge

Tensions have been ratcheting up between the Article II and Article III branches of the government as the Trump administration takes significant actions in furtherance of the America First agenda and its opposition avails itself of the federal courts in an effort to thwart the administration.

The latest source of tension surrounds the recent deportation flights of multiple Tren de Aragua and MS-13 gang members and D.C. District Court Judge James Boasberg's entry of a temporary restraining order (TRO) attempting to halt the government's actions while the legalities are sorted out.

Trump Team Issues 'Blistering' Response in Federal Court Over Tren de Aragua Deportations—Judge Unmoved


On Tuesday morning, as Bob Hoge reported, President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to blast Boasberg's conduct, calling for his impeachment in the process. 

This Radical Left Lunatic of a Judge, a troublemaker and agitator who was sadly appointed by Barack Hussein Obama, was not elected President - He didn’t WIN the popular VOTE (by a lot!), he didn’t WIN ALL SEVEN SWING STATES, he didn’t WIN 2,750 to 525 Counties, HE DIDN’T WIN ANYTHING! I WON FOR MANY REASONS, IN AN OVERWHELMING MANDATE, BUT FIGHTING ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION MAY HAVE BEEN THE NUMBER ONE REASON FOR THIS HISTORIC VICTORY. I’m just doing what the VOTERS wanted me to do. This judge, like many of the Crooked Judges’ I am forced to appear before, should be IMPEACHED!!! WE DON’T WANT VICIOUS, VIOLENT, AND DEMENTED CRIMINALS, MANY OF THEM DERANGED MURDERERS, IN OUR COUNTRY. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!

Now, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has issued a statement, presumably in response to the president's post (though there have been rumblings regarding impeachment of federal judges from other quarters as well).

CHIEF JUSTICE JOHN ROBERTS on Trump world's calls to impeach James Boasberg, who ruled against the president on the Alien Enemy Act:

"For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision. 

"The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose."

The issue of the deportation flights is likely to make its way to the Supreme Court fairly quickly (as will several others) and the expectation is that the court will act in some way to rein in some of the lower court judges as quite a few of them — including Boasberg — appear to have gotten out over their skis and lost sight of the constitutional parameters setting forth the separation of powers.
