TOP O' THE MORNIN'
Biden/Harris Maryland Event Has Embarrassing Moment When Dozens of People Walk Out
Democrats can spin all the hype they want, but the economy is the top issue for most people, and Harris, even if she tries, is not going to be able to divorce herself from the failures of which she was a part.
WaPo Busts Kamala in Glorious Op-Ed Linking 'Communist' and Her Proposed 'Price Controls'
The "policy" is horrible, but you're just supposed to be vibing on how she's going to take care of the evil corporations.
Biden's Brain Breaks As He Doubles Down, Threatens the GOP, Makes Things Worse for Kamala
Did they think we would forget the last three-plus years and how their policies drove all the prices up? In addition to trying to hoodwink us, they think we are stupid too.
WHAT'S ON TAP?
Today on Capitol Hill...
I can't decide if I like the critters being on extended recess or not. I think it's a little of both. But them being out for the month of August doesn't mean that no work is getting done. Members of the J13 task force, for instance, have been digging into their investigation of the incident. We'll have more on that later this morning.
White House What's Up
Friday morning, President Joe Biden will be "joined by civil rights leaders, community members, and elected officials to sign a proclamation to designate the Springfield 1908 Race Riot National Monument." After that, he's off to Camp David for the weekend.
The Homestretch
Vice President Kamala Harris is set to release her "first major economic plan" Friday. For those anxiously awaiting substantive policy proposals from Harris, spoiler alert: It's crap. Harris will also be making a campaign stop in Raleigh, North Carolina, today.
Former President Donald Trump is heading to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, for a Saturday rally, while running mate Ohio Senator JD Vance will be back in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Friday to deliver remarks at the Milwaukee Police Association.
MORNING MUSING
Alright, I'm about to be a downer for a moment β my apologies in advance. I ran across a tweet last night that landed like a gut punch:
Man. This. π― https://t.co/KJaw3lddCO

It does feel like that these days. And it's hard not to get overwhelmed with the, well, I guess it's genuine grief at the loss and recognition that these are largely self-inflicted wounds. But...I also ran across this tweet:
1) "Victor or victim and you can't be both"

I'll never forget it was my first baseball game.
I was obsessed with baseball.
At 5 I could name every STL Cardinals player & their stats.
I told everyone I was going to be a Major League Baseball player when I grew up.
It's part of a thread β an inspirational thread about important lessons from a father, but that portion in particular caught my attention: "Victor or victim and you can't be both."
So, I guess it comes down to that: We can wallow in our "Woe is us," or we can choose to stay positive and fight for what's right β to press on as happy warriors. We've got a country to save, friends.
LIGHTER FARE
Can you vibe it?
