Schmitt Happens: Missouri AG Wins GOP Primary for US Senate

It’s one of the more closely watched races — and certainly the most talked-about in Missouri. Show-Me State denizens have been waiting anxiously to see who will win the GOP nomination for US Senate in a bid to replace retiring Republican Senator Roy Blunt.

While the polling has fairly consistently shown the same top three contenders —  Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler, Attorney General Eric Schmitt, and former Governor Eric Greitens — within a nose of each other, recent polls have shown Schmitt pulling ahead and Greitens dropping back.

As we reported Monday evening, the race was thrown into a bit of an uproar after former President Donald Trump indicated he would be making an endorsement and then proceeded to endorse “Eric,” leaving it to the campaigns and voters to make what they would out of it.

Now we have an answer as to which Eric the voters of Missouri would rather send to Washington, D.C:

Decision Desk HQ is calling the race for Eric Schmitt, with roughly three percent of the vote in.
