The Squad was off on a tear Thursday — randomly assigned “National Intern Day” — regarding unpaid internships and how mere “experience doesn’t pay the bills”.
And remember Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), no longer content to be booted, screeching that voters are crazy, from Trump speeches, one-upped Bernie Sanders’ call for a $15 per hour federal minimum wage and demanded it should be $20 per hour.
So The Squad wants you to know they care, American workers. Except they apparently can’t put their money where their mouths are (just like Bernie, who had to cut hours to meet his unionized staffers’ demands for $15 per hour).
Two days after she said $15/hour isn’t a livable wage anymore, @RashidaTlaib posts job offering $15/hour https://t.co/JLkQ8nqB5D

Twitter user Taylor Mason noted the inconsistency when he tweeted a screenshot of a job listing from the online job search site Daybook. That listing, posted Wednesday, offers an internship position at Tlaib’s congressional office in D.C., paying $15 per hour. According to the listing, intern duties include communicating and working with constituents, “researching topics” for staff members, “office communications support,” “policy research and assisting staff with administrative tasks.”

The Squad likes to shame and call out and make demands and insinuate everyone’s a victim and has a right to be angry about it. But when it comes to actually implementing their policies — even in their own offices — they tend to simply fail. Full of sound and fury, still signifying nothing.
