Remember the Georgia Heartbeat Bill and the Hollywood “resistance” letter, wherein B-list celebrities such as Alyssa Milano threatened the burgeoning film industry in Georgia with a boycott if they didn’t reverse course?

Well while some in the film industry in Georgia are encouraging Kemp to veto the bill (for the shallow purpose of “perception” apparently), there’s an African-American pro-life group that hopes Kemp sticks to his guns and has a few choice words for those Hollywood B-listers.

The National Black Pro-Life Coalition (NBPLC) has been worried for some time that Hollywood has been used as a communication vehicle to pull people to the left, and the Georgia Heartbeat Bill is an example of their tactics.

“One of the tactics that they are using is to use high-profile individuals to affirm a doctrine of decadence in our culture, which is a deception that is being exercised to deceive the voter, that they are not aware of what’s going on and how these tactics are being used against them,” NBPLC Pastory Stephen Broden told One News Now.

“The number-one killer of life in the black community is abortion,” Broden said. “More black babies are aborted every day than any other people group in America, and its shame on these misguided women who are affirming a decadent, evil, malicious philosophy and idea and practice within the black community.”

Pastor Broden is correct, of course. The abortion industry, funded mostly by groups like Planned Parenthood, whom Milano supports, has an outsized affect on the black community with more black babies aborted than born in cities like New York.

Broden told ONN that statistics like these are reality, and Hollywood actors are ignoring that reality while the state of Georgia “is simply trying to protect life and protect women from the scars of abortion.”
