If he could still talk to us, I suspect the late Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) would note that he agreed there is still much work to be done.
This is something his sister, Darline Graham Nordone, indicated she understood as well in the speech she gave on Monday, in which she announced she would be honored to serve out the remainder of her brother's term in office, which ends on January 3, 2027.
"It is such a privilege to finish some of his important work, and I promise to work hard over the next several months to support the President and carry forward the efforts of my brother on behalf of the citizens of South Carolina and the United States," Nordone stated, while adding a personal message for her late brother.
"Now to Lindsey: I miss you more than I can even put into words. But I'm gonna do this. I got it."

On Tuesday afternoon, the sister whom Graham raised and later adopted after the loss of their parents (she was 13 and he was 22 at the time) was officially sworn in as interim senator.

Senator Darline Graham Nordone, 62, is a wife, mother, and grandmother, and has a long history of being an advocate for those with disabilities. She "earned a bachelor's degree from the College of Charleston, a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling, and is a certified public manager." She is the Palmetto State's first female senator.
