Unlike California, Florida is unquestionably a law-and-order state, thanks in no small part to the leadership of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), Attorneys General past and present, and the countless police departments and sheriffs' offices across the Sunshine State who put the safety and security of their local communities ahead of political correctness and woke.
On Thursday, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier held a press conference to discuss immigration enforcement in light of what Americans have seen unfold in the Golden State, and elsewhere, with the lunatics effectively running the asylum in Los Angeles County until President Trump sent in the National Guard.
While the crux of the presser was to discuss protections for ICE agents who have been under threat of doxxing and violence since immigration sweeps commenced early on in President Trump's second term, the sheriff of Brevard County ended up stealing the show in sharing exactly how he and his deputies would handle violent rioters.
Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey basically gave the FAFO speech of the year, warning agitators that if they went on the attack, he and his deputies would be responding accordingly:
“You don’t want to let that happen,” Ivey said of [protests that turn violent], spotlighting riots around the country involving buildings being burned down and police cars being “bricked” as examples.
“If you try to mob rule a car in Brevard County gathering around it, refusing to let the driver leave in our county, you’re most likely going to get run over and dragged across the street,” Ivey continued.
“If you spit on us, you’re going to the hospital and in jail. If you hit one of us, you’re going to the hospital and jail, and most likely get bitten by one of our big, beautiful dogs that we have here. If you throw a brick, a fire bomb, or a pointed gun at one of our deputies, we will be notifying your family where to collect your remains at. Because we will kill you, graveyard dead. We’re not going to play.”

Dunno about anyone else, but if you're like me and are fed up to here with leftist rioters being coddled and treated as though they were the real victims in these so-called protests, Sheriff Ivey's comments were very reassuring.
But that's not what former NBC News "Meet the Press" host and leading Democrat apologist Chuck Todd got out of it:
In America, taxpayer funded officials don’t threaten citizens with death for expressing their right to assembly. https://t.co/6IMgDJlK1h

Hmm. I wonder what part of "violent" Chuck didn't grasp?
That is, unless he somehow actually thinks violent speech expressions involving arson, destruction of property, and assault are also protected by the First Amendment?
Hold it and read that headline you just posted a 2d time—are you saying there is a constitutional right to VIOLENT protest? https://t.co/NEkXAJv6dO

We're still waiting on an answer from the Chuckster. And we'll have to assume that if he doesn't, that "silence is violence" because that's how the Democrat games work, right? Stay tuned.
Editor’s Note: Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
