Toldjah So: Jake Tapper's 'Predictable Pivot' From the Biden Exposé Begins - Here's What He's Saying Now

Townhall Media

As we've periodically mentioned, though the new book "Original Sin" includes revelations about former President Joe Biden and his family that are worthy of discussion, especially considering a lot of this was called out by conservatives during Biden's presidency but was covered up by the press and the Biden-Harris White House, one thing that's been tough to do is to give one of the book's authors - Jake Tapper - any credit.

The CNN anchor was, after all, a participant in campaigns to discredit Biden's critics on this front, even expressing heavy skepticism in an "interview" with Biden ally Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) just a few weeks before the infamous June 2024 debate after the blockbuster piece from the Wall Street Journal came out that referenced how Biden's decline was a well-known secret on Capitol Hill.

Amazingly, Tapper interviewed those same WSJ reporters after his book's release, and applauded them for their "heroism" in doing critical reporting no other media outlet would do related to the Biden decline at the time, all without admitting his own role in keeping the issue on the down-low.

And now, in what one well-known political commentator is correctly calling a "predictable pivot," Tapper is using the findings laid out in the book to urge the media to do more digging into... President Donald Trump's health:

Though Tapper has not claimed he's seen signs of Trump in decline, he has said that he "appears" healthy but "has not been transparent" about his medical record.

This is, of course, what's called "setting the stage" for the same press who fretted endlessly over Trump once walking down a ramp slowly and once using both hands to grip a glass of water to go full-court press on simply "raising questions" about Trump's health as a way to make up for their Biden-era sins and to "express concerns" in the coming months about his ability to lead for four years:

The fascinating thing here is that the media did hound Trump throughout his first term about his physical and mental health, even bringing on "mental health experts" to diagnose him from afar, even though they never met him or examined him, and even though he didn't show signs of decline - and certainly not in the myriad ways Biden did, that's for sure.

Again, this is stage-setting stuff for the press, and you can rest assured that hit pieces are already being composed as we speak, demanding more "transparency" from the Trump-Vance administration on matters related to the president's health on grounds that they "missed it" with Biden but don't want to "miss it" with Trump.

To be fair, asking for transparency on a president's health is fine, but it just needs to be pointed out for the record why this will soon emerge as a thing for the MSM to harp on, and it's not because Trump has done anything that would make one question it.

Tapper is basking in the glow of all the attention his book has received, but is slowly doing the "but Trump" pivot because, of course, he is.  As I've said time and time again, the media are nothing if not a predictable lot, and that is especially true when we're discussing a Democrat apologist like Jake Tapper.
