Secretary of State Marco Rubio is a man who indeed wears many hats in the Trump administration. He's even taken to joking about it at times, as he did at the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute Gala earlier this month, where he was honored with their Lifetime Leadership award.
"When I joined the administration early on, they said one of the initiatives that we’re pursuing is to increase efficiency in government. In essence, they want to be able to do more while spending less or putting less – and for example, they said one of the things we want you to look at is consolidation," Rubio quipped. "Can you take, for example, what today are four jobs and just give them all to one person?"
Rubio's four jobs (so far) are Secretary of State, acting USAID administrator, acting archivist of the United States, and interim national security advisor. He said at the gala that he wanted to be the Surgeon General, too, because they get to wear cool uniforms. "I wanted it, but they had given it away," Rubio jested.

As one might imagine, when a person has all of those responsibilities on their plate, it might get difficult after a while to hide it when you get fatigued, tired, and/or jet lagged after long days of work/traveling/diplomacy.
The former Florida Senator is certainly no exception to that rule, as we saw when he traveled with President Donald Trump to the Middle East. Take, for instance, this photo from Trump's speech in Saudi Arabia. This was Rubio looking on:

That photo, as it turns out, may soon spawn more Rubio memes than the photos of him during the heated Trump/Zelensky face-off back in February and the 2013 "water bottle incident." Here are some of the more humorous ones:

On the other hand, here's Rubio, along with Defense Sec. Pete Hegseth, with game face on:

In response to a discussion about Rubio's various roles, one Twitter/X user suggested that "Marco Rubio is quickly turning into a legend."
As someone who believes that Rubio is perhaps the most consequential cabinet pick Trump made upon taking office for the second time, I couldn't agree more.
