On the issue of illegal immigration, Congressional Democrats just keep stepping in it, as evidenced by their continued virtue signaling over alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia's El Salvador deportation/imprisonment and now their attempted storming of a New Jersey ICE detention center that is housing more criminal illegal immigrants, including alleged child predators and murderers.

As RedState's Ward Clark documented earlier, three New Jersey House Democrats - Robert Menendez Jr, Bonnie Watson Coleman, and LaMonica McIver - all arrived at the Delaney Hall detention center in Newark Friday on grounds that they were performing "Congressional oversight."

According to local reports, they, along with Newark Mayor Ras Baraka (D), were stopped at the first checkpoint after attempting to go beyond the gates. Baraka took it even further, trying to get in through a side entrance. Then things got quite chippy and chaotic between the Congressmembers, Baraka, and the federal authorities before Baraka was eventually arrested.

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), who champions himself as a model for civility and decorum, took to the Twitter/X machine after seeing a clip of one of the Congressmembers claiming all four Democrats got "roughed up," and promptly inserted his foot into his mouth.

"The Trump @JDVance Administration has just arrested a mayor in Newark and shoved Members of Congress for protesting outside of an ICE facility," Khanna wrote. "In America, you cannot arrest your political opponents," he also tweeted.

It's amazing how quickly they change their tunes when it's their side in the hot seat, isn't it?

As usual, it's always (D)ifferent when a Democrat does it. Always.
