Earlier, RedState's Rusty Weiss reported on some eye-opening comments President Joe Biden made during a Tuesday visit to a New Hampshire campaign office in which he called for GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump to be locked up.
After suggesting without evidence that the former POTUS, if elected again as president, would interpret the Supreme Court's July ruling on presidential immunity to mean he could "physically eliminate, shoot, kill" his political enemies, Biden said "I mean, so I know this sounds bizarre. If I said this five years ago you’d lock me up. We gotta lock him up."
Moments later, perhaps sensing that he crossed a line in front of the applauding audience, Biden added, “Politically lock him up.”

While the Trump campaign has responded accordingly, noting that Biden "just admitted the truth" about their desire to "politically persecute" Trump "because they can’t beat him fair and square," the reactions from former and current Biden-Harris administration officials were something else.
In a couple of tweets, Axios national political correspondent Alex Thompson shared what they told him:
Noting this could be politically unhelpful to Harris, a former Biden admin official texts me: “we gotta lock Joe up.”
A counterpoint from a current Biden admin official: "For better or worse, no one is listening to him anymore and his words have little power and less reach. It’s a blip. Gone in any meaningful way by mid-day tomorrow if it makes it that long."
While locking Joe up... in the basement until Election Day would probably be helpful for the Kamala Harris campaign, the fact that some Biden officials think no one will remember tomorrow what Biden said Tuesday about locking up his vice president's political opponent just shows they've been paying zero attention over the course of Joe Biden's presidency to the chorus of outrage even from some who aren't particularly fond of Trump in condemning the blatant lawfare tactics.
Like many, I am really interested in hearing how Kamala Harris responds to his remarks, especially considering how she's tried to have it both ways since becoming the Democrat presidential nominee in saying she'd have done nothing different than Biden has for the last near-four years and yet in the same breath claims she'll be a different kind of president if elected.
I mean Biden, who she has declared she won't criticize, has just opened his mouth and said what many consider to be the "quiet part out loud" in his quest to hamstring Trump's campaign. What say you, Kamala Harris? Enquiring minds want to know.
