President Joe Biden's son, Hunter, was found guilty Tuesday by a Delaware jury on all three gun-related counts he faced, with two counts carrying with them "maximum prison sentences of 10 years, while the third has a maximum of five years."
A sentencing date, as we also reported, will be set at a later time according to Judge Maryellen Noreika.
With that guilty verdict, Hunter Biden has earned the dubious distinction of becoming the first offspring of a sitting president of the United States to have a criminal conviction under their belt.

Not surprisingly, the hot takes among the Usual Suspects on the left and in Media World were fast and furious, with the coping, seething, and full-scale delusion on full display.
Here are some highlight (lowlight?) reels. First up, MSDNC:

Former "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd was his usual pro-Biden self, portraying this as a "really good day for the American system":
"This is a really good day for the American system ... There’s a fairness to it where we do aspire that nobody is above the law. It’s possible that there’s a contrast here that the public may see how Trump & his partisans handle the rule of law, versus Biden & how his partisans handle the rule of law. This is one of those cases where I don’t think it’s brought if Biden is not president"

ABC News's Terry Moran chose to focus more on the sympathetic addiction angle:
ABC's @TerryMoran: "So many American families understand that now the First Family has gone through [addiction] as well. The political consequence of it may be tempered by the fact that this is a scourge that has touched so many American families, even the president’s." pic.twitter.com/suLbBIAIlE

Not so shockingly, former Biden White House comms director Kate Bedingfield echoed a nearly identical talking point about "struggles" and "addiction":
THIS is why CNN hired Biden's Communications Director as an "analyst," so she can spew about Hunter's "eloquence" and how everyone remembers Joe's love-my-son talking points in the debates.

No pushback. Biden also said in the debate.that the Laptop was "a bunch of garbage." pic.twitter.com/B1WYvCzyas
... as did CNN "reporter" Kristen Holmes:
In verdict aftermath, CNN's Trump-campaign correspondent Kristen Holmes dumps on Trump for not being sympathetic to Hunter's addiction issues, despite addiction in his own family. "Many Americans find this case to be sympathetic," Trump is not one of them. pic.twitter.com/5CmvyqErUy

Another CNN media figure, "legal affairs correspondent" Paula Reid, appeared to be in mourning as she read the verdict:

Her spirits seemed to pick up a bit when she talked about how Biden had the option to commute Hunter Biden's sentence:

We will, of course, have more reactions to share on this developing story. As always, stay tuned.
