It's On: Biden Challenges Trump to Two Debates in Perhaps the Most Cringe Way Possible, Trump Accepts

Donald Trump has been egging Joe Biden on for months now about having a debate, and on Wednesday, Biden seemingly accepted the challenge.

In a pre-recorded, scripted video posted to social media, Biden proclaimed without evidence that "Donald Trump lost two debates to me in 2020."

"Since then he hasn’t shown up for a debate. Now he’s acting like he wants to debate me again," Biden also said.

Biden then urged Trump to pick the dates.

"Well, make my day, pal, I’ll even do it twice. So let’s pick the dates, Donald – I hear you’re free on Wednesdays."

Watch:

What Biden left out of his video announcement was that his handlers have already suggested dates, or months at least. June and September:

President Biden’s campaign on Wednesday proposed two debates with former President Trump, bucking the Commission on Presidential Debates and potentially setting the stage for a face-off as soon as next month.

The Biden campaign called for the first debate to take place in late June, after Biden returns from the Group of Seven (G-7) Summit in Europe and after Trump’s hush money trial in New York will likely have concluded.

The campaign suggested a second debate in September ahead of the start of early voting in many states, as well as a vice presidential debate in late July after the Republican National Convention.

Donald Trump has already responded to the challenge, accepting it while mocking Biden in the process:

"Crooked Joe Biden is the worst debater I have ever faced—he can't put two sentences together," Trump told Fox News Digital.  "Crooked is also the worst president in the history of the United States, by far."

Trump told Fox News Digital that "it is time for a debate to take place—even if it has to be held through the offices of the Commission on Presidential Debates, which are totally controlled by Democrats and who, as people remember, got caught cheating with me with debate sound levels."

"I'm ready to go," Trump said. "The dates that they proposed are fine. Anywhere. Anytime. Any place. Let's see if Joe can make it to the stand-up podium."

Trump elaborated in a Truth Social post:

The devil is, of course, in the details, and it will be interesting to see how Biden's handlers approach the particulars about how the stage is set up, the time limits, who hosts and moderates the debates, etc. Trump, on the other hand, would probably be okay if they held a street brawl lol.

As always, we'll keep you posted on the latest developments. Stay tuned.
