Cringe Democrat Party Presidents’ Day Tweet Is Deleted After It's Pointed Out That Someone Is Missing

It's Presidents' Day here in the United States, a day that at least on paper is supposed to be about remembering and reflecting on past presidents, with the emphasis being on George Washington (the nation's first president) and Abraham Lincoln (our 16th) in part because their birthdays are this month and in part because of their incredible legacies and how helped lead and shape a young country.

It is a federal and bank holiday, which means government workers and bank employees get to take the day off, and things like trash collection, mail delivery, and bank transactions are delayed for a day.

But when it comes to the Democratic Party, the beclowning never stops for time off, which is exactly what happened on Monday when they took to the Twitter machine to post their Happy Presidents' Day message.

Their post was designed, of course, only to honor living Democratic presidents (there are four), but it was immediately pointed out that someone was missing from the image they shared:

Yep, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden were all pictured in the since-deleted tweet, but Jimmy Carter wasn't for some strange reason. In place of that tweet, they simply posted an image of Joe Biden, and as of this writing have not apologized for forgetting about Jimmy Carter.

What was especially cringe-worthy about the original tweet was that Sunday marked the one-year anniversary of Carter entering hospice care.

Fortunately, the Naval Academy Athletic Association didn't forget about America's 39th president, though:

The name "Jimmy Carter" was trending on Twitter Monday morning, and oftentimes when you see someone's name trending on social media you fear the worst.

But the former POTUS is in fact still with us, having survived his beloved wife of 77 years, Rosalynn Carter, who passed away in November 2023 at the age of 96.

Jimmy Carter, at age 99, is the oldest living ex-president in U.S. history, and to describe him as a survivor would be an understatement considering all the health issues he's faced in his life:

“After a year in hospice, on a daily basis we have no expectations for his body, but we know that his spirit is as strong as ever,” Jason Carter, Jimmy Carter’s grandson, said in a video that aired on “CBS Sunday Morning.”

[...]

He has survived metastatic brain cancer, liver cancer, and a number of health scares, including brain surgery after a fall in 2019. He entered hospice care in February 2023 after a series of hospital stays.

Between Jimmy Carter entering hospice care a year ago and Rosalynn Carter passing away in November, the last year has been a particularly challenging one for the Carter family. May God be with them at this difficult and bittersweet time.
