As we’ve previously documented here at RedState, Chris Cuomo is a special kind of hypocrite. Especially when it comes to ‘Karening’ Republicans including President Trump for not wearing masks in the middle of the Wuhan virus pandemic.
But on Wednesday night, Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson took calling out the CNN “Prime Time” host’s hypocrisy to the next level in a segment that will solidify Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s little brother’s place in the Mask-Shamers Hall of Fame.
As part of his opening commentary, Carlson pointed out how dedicated Chris Cuomo seemed to be when it came to reminding people of the need to wear masks. There appeared to be no issue nearer or dearer to Cuomo’s heart, Carlson said in so many words, than demanding people “wear the damn mask” to protect themselves and others around them.
A few minutes later, however, Carlson noted he had obtained a letter from the building manager where Cuomo lives, in which the building manager ripped Cuomo for repeatedly being seen in the building not wearing a mask at a time when his brother – the Governor of New York – mandated it for everyone else. The letter states, in part:
“Dear Mr. Cuomo, as I am sure you know, because of the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis, on April 15, 2020 Governor Cuomo issued Executive Order 202.17, which requires anyone over the age of two to wear a face mask or cloth that covers their mouth and nose while in a public space.”
[…]
The letter continues: “You have been observed entering and exiting the building and riding the elevator without the required face coverings. Even though staff members have asked you to comply with this requirement, you have refused to do so. This is a violation of the Executive Order, building policy, and it places other residents and our staff at risk. There are no exceptions to this rule and you are required to comply.”
The letter goes on to threaten Chris Cuomo with a $500 fine if he continues to endanger his neighbors and the city with his masklessness. Let that sink in for a moment.

Carlson went on to sarcastically talk about how, contra to what CNN would probably say about the letter in response, that this was not some Russian disinformation plot. Fox News had confirmed the authenticity of the letter, speaking directly to the building manager off-camera about the letter to confirm it was genuine.
After reminding people that Gov. Cuomo said back in May that “there should be a penalty because you could literally, literally kill someone. You could literally kill someone because you didn’t want to wear a mask”, Carlson pointed to other instances of Chris Cuomo being caught without a mask since the mask mandate was put in place. Oddly enough, however, Chris Cuomo never faced a fine or punishment for his wrongdoing, unlike other New Yorkers – especially those in the Jewish community, which Gov. Cuomo is having monitored at this very moment.
Carlson wrapped up the segment by suggesting that Chris Cuomo “must be upset with Chris Cuomo, which, of course, we already guessed from his exercise regimen.”
“It’s not an exaggeration to say that Chris Cuomo is a man at war with himself,” Carlson stated. “How will this end?”

Carlson’s burn of Cuomo was so sick that Cuomo’s CNN colleague Jake Tapper seemed to be making a veiled reference to the issue in a tweet posted last night:
Wow @CNN's @jaketapper indirectly calls out @ChrisCuomo for his failure to wear a mask.
Reminder Chris Cuomo didn't wear mask while infected and broke quarantine. Also recently at a crowded restaurant and in his apartment, even after repeated warnings. https://t.co/W3h1jZ878A

Apparently, neither Chris Cuomo nor his powerful brother Andrew understand what “leading by example” actually means. Because if they did, they’d practice what they preach on mask-wearing, right? Probably not, because as we’ve seen so many times before during the pandemic, Democrats believe the rules apply to everyone else and not them, yet then have the nerve to lecture others for following their lead.
This is one big reason why so many are paying no attention to mask shamers anymore. Because if not even the mask shamers wear them like they say they should, why should anyone else?
