WOKE: Feminist Writer Says Pro-Life Women Are "Indoctrinated, Recruited" by the Patriarchy

The Democrat pearl-clutching and hand-wringing officially began well-before the passage of Alabama’s fetal heartbeat bill, and has continued at a rapid pace ever since.

As expected, many panicking leftists are doing what leftists do in the face of sure defeat: portraying supporters of pro-life legislation in the worst possible of terms and impugning their motives. And for feminists, heaping scorn and bile onto the so-called “patriarchy” and any and all women who aid them in their evil agenda to “set women back a century” (or whatever their latest talking points happen to be) is Priority One.

Perhaps no hot take exemplifies this more than that of self-proclaimed feminist Jodi Jacobson, the editor-in-chief of Rewire News. Just a few hours before the bill was passed by the state senate yesterday, she provided this super-duper hot take on Rep. Terry Collins, the Republican woman who sponsored the Alabama bill:

If only pro-life women had a dime for everytime they’d heard that one before.

Unfortunately, the high-fives Ms. Jacobson received weren’t much better:

Here’s the simple truth of the matter, as noted by …. gasp! … a man:

Yep. It’s just that simple.

In my case in particular, I used to be pro-abortion. I changed my mind over time after educating myself on the issue. I was not a “victim” of the patriarchy. Nobody indoctrinated me. I just researched all the facts and data about abortion, reversed my position on it decades ago, and never looked back.

But Ms. Jacobson’s denigration of pro-life women is not an unusual position for the left, who merely pay lip service when it comes to appreciating the value of differing opinions among women. Women who don’t toe the left’s line on abortion are denigrated as inauthentic, subservient to the patriarchy, and uneducated and/or unable to think for themselves.

The side benefit to these abortion debates is exposing the left’s duplicitous nature on female diversity of thought. For that, we should thank Ms. Jacobson.
