Several outlets have projected that Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) will win his race against the Republican nominee, Corey Stewart.

CNN projecting @BernieSanders and @timkaine will win their Senate races in VM and VA respectively

As Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs pointed out on Twitter, polls in Virginia closed fewer than five minutes ago.

Tim Kaine is projected to win his Senate race just as polls close. This is not normal for statewide races in Virginia
