Ben Sasse Says Mueller Indictment 'Put Moscow On Notice'

Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) has released a statement in response to the news that Special Counsel Robert Mueller had indicted thirteen Russians regarding “Moscow’s influence operation before, during, and after our 2016 election.”

“Mueller just put Moscow on notice,” said Sasse.

“This ought to be a wakeup call to Washington: Putin’s shadow war is aimed at undermining Americans’ trust in our institutions,” he continued. “We know Russia is coming back in 2018 and 2020 – we have to take this threat seriously.”

Sasse is a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
