President Donald Trump seems absolutely furious about the upcoming Michael Wolff book, Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, and he’s making sure everyone knows it, firing off another tweet not only attacking the book, but with a vicious new nickname insulting his former campaign CEO and senior adviser, Steve Bannon.
Wolff’s book, scheduled for release at midnight tonight, reportedly was written based on information learned when Wolff was granted wide access to the inner workings of the last few months of Trump’s presidential campaign and then even to the White House as the new administration settled in.
Bannon is one of the main sources for the book, and to say Trump is displeased is like saying that the temperature on the surface on the sun can be a little warm.
Trump blasted his former adviser in one of the most-strongly-worded official statements of his presidency (and with this particular POTUS, you know that’s saying something), and also had his lawyers send Bannon a cease-and-desist letter.
The White House has spent the day frantically trying to distance themselves from Bannon, and just to make sure we are absolutely clear that he and Bannon are no longer buddies, Trump tweeted this just before 11:00 pm Eastern Time:
I authorized Zero access to White House (actually turned him down many times) for author of phony book! I never spoke to him for book. Full of lies, misrepresentations and sources that don’t exist. Look at this guy’s past and watch what happens to him and Sloppy Steve!

“Sloppy Steve.”
I can’t imagine why he said that.
