Outrage: Gavin Newsom Vows to Confiscate 100% From California MAGA Victims of Biden Lawfare

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) announced Wednesday that his failing state will impose a 100% tax—effectively confiscating every penny—on payments California residents receive from President Trump’s $1.8 billion anti-weaponization fund.

"Anyone from California that receives any of those funds, we want to tax 100% of those proceeds," Newsom boasted during a press conference. "That's an action the state of California can take; it's an action we look forward to taking."

While Trump works to right the wrongs of years of political persecution and lawfare, Newsom is openly cheering theft from Californians who suffered under Biden’s tyrannical abuse of power against Republicans.

Newsom's threat is a blatant reminder that Democrats’ top priorities have been, and always will remain, punishing conservatives and protecting the weaponized deep state.

You can tell he's super-serious in that clip, folks, clenched jaw and rapid-fire fingerpointing and all.

The $1.8 billion Anti-Weaponization Fund was established earlier this month by the Justice Department as part of a settlement resolving President Trump’s lawsuit against the IRS for the illegal leak of his tax returns.

Financed through the federal Judgment Fund, the program aims to provide restitution to Americans targeted and persecuted by the Biden administration’s weaponized DOJ.

Among the victims, if you can believe it, from the former President who insisted he was the protector of democracy, are: parents labeled as domestic terrorists, pro-life activists, January 6 defendants, and countless others who endured lawfare for daring to oppose the radical left.

President Trump has defended the anti-weaponization fund, noting he could have pursued or settled his lawsuit against the IRS.

"I gave up a lot of money in allowing the just announced Anti-Weaponization Fund to go forward," he wrote on Truth Social. "I could have settled my case, including the illegal release of my Tax Returns and the equally illegal break-in of Mar-a-Lago, for an absolute fortune."

"Instead, I am helping others, who were so badly abused by an evil, corrupt, and weaponized Biden Administration, receive, at long last, JUSTICE!"

Any American—Democrat, Republican, Independent or apolitical—can file claims with the Anti-Weaponization Fund, which are then reviewed by a committee of five.

In the equally liberal swamp of New York, one lawmaker agrees with Governor Newsom. State Assemblyman Alex Bores (D-Manhattan), who is running to represent New York's 12th district in the US House of Representatives, would also like to implement taxation without representation.

“It’s simple, if you’re a New Yorker and you take from this illegal slush fund, New York state will tax 100% of it,” Bores wrote on X. “If you storm the Capitol and you take from this slush fund, too bad we’re taking it.”

Of course Democrats from New York and California want to defend the former president's efforts to inflict pain on conservatives. From their perspective, Biden's presidency was an absolute dream.

No President used lies and misinformation to pursue his political opponents more than Biden did.

The previous administration's Justice Department jailed mostly peaceful protestors from January 6th, jailed pro-life grandmothers who prayed at abortion clinics, had the DOJ target Catholic churches, and pursued concerned parents at school board meetings as terrorists.

Newsom’s greedy power play is another sign that blue-state radicals will stop at nothing to punish conservatives for the lone transgression of existing. Talk about your threat to democracy.
