Mohammad Dawood Alokozay, a 30-year-old Afghan national who entered the United States during the Biden administration, has been charged in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas for "threatening to build a bomb, conduct a suicide attack, and kill Americans and others."

Alokozay is accused of making explicit threats in a video shared across multiple social media platforms, including X, Facebook, and TikTok. The threats, made just days before the attack on the National Guard in Washington, D.C., were previously reported by RedState's Teri Christoph, who described the incident as a "chilling near-miss."

The clip features Alokozay on a video call, allegedly made on November 23rd, with at least two other men, in which the Afghan citizen is said to have been "angrily gesturing and speaking Dari," a language commonly spoken in Afghanistan.

What was he angrily carrying on about?

"As alleged, Alokozay threatened to conduct a suicide attack on the other participants on the call, as well as 'infidels' and Americans," a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Northern District of Texas. "He claimed he would build a bomb in his vehicle and talked about a particular yellow cooking oil container favored by the Taliban in building improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in Afghanistan."

The release goes on to state that Alozokay declared "the Taliban were dear to him" and claimed "he wanted to conduct a suicide attack on Americans."

They also posted a screenshot of the alleged video call.

Attorney General Pamela Bondi revealed that the Afghan national came to the United States under the previous administration.

“This Afghan national came into America during the Biden administration and, as alleged, explicitly stated that he came here in order to kill American citizens,” she said.

“The public safety threat created by the Biden administration’s vetting breakdown cannot be overstated – the Department of Justice will continue working with our federal and state partners to protect the American people from the prior administration’s dangerous incompetence.”

DHS's Tricia McLaughlin provided additional context to the threats over the weekend, stating that Alokozak had posted the video of himself "indicating he was building a bomb with an intended target of the Fort Worth area," where Alokozak lives.

Alokozay remains in custody pending further court proceedings. His arrest came just one day before 29-year-old Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal attacked two National Guard members in the nation's capital, taking the life of 20-year-old Sarah Beckstrom and leaving 24-year-old Andrew Wolfe clinging to life.

Christoph wrote that, according to Fox News, Alokozay came to America in 2022 and "was classified as a 'lawful permanent resident' – under the same program" that allowed Lakanwal entry. He has now been charged with transmitting a threatening communication in interstate commerce.

Both men appear to have been granted entry into the U.S. under "Operation Allies Welcome," a program designed to coordinate the evacuation, processing, and resettlement of vulnerable Afghan nationals in the aftermath of President Biden's botched U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.

President Trump last week issued a fiery declaration indicating there would be a significant crackdown on immigration from hostile or crime-ridden nations, and he would terminate all illegal entries into the country under the Biden administration.
