Trump’s EPA Chief Just Trashed a Biden-Era Shrine to ‘Environmental Justice’ – Done ‘Burning Tax Dollars’

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin announced that he has taken a virtual chainsaw to a one-room museum he described as a "shrine to environmental justice and climate change."

Zeldin happily reported that the move would save taxpayers roughly $600,000 annually.

In a video posted to X on Monday, Zeldin explained that the shrine, built during the Biden administration, cost a mind-numbing $4 million to construct. And yet it brought in fewer than 2,000 visitors.

The former New York gubernatorial candidate also pointed out that the timeline presented in the museum's displays somehow left Trump's first term era completely unmentioned.

“This museum claims EPA pursues its mission by advancing environmental justice, equity, and civil rights compliance. A timeline of key events conveniently omits any mention of President Trump’s first administration,” he said.

$4 million. For one room. Bringing in fewer visitors than were at my wife's family reunion.

During the previous year, 1,909 members of the public visited the free museum.

Zeldin explained that on top of the initial price tag, the museum was costly to maintain even without anybody patronizing the joint.

“This shrine to environmental justice and climate change cost the American taxpayer $600,000 to operate annually. This agency has been spending $123,000 on cleaning, $207,000 for security, $54,000 on maintenance, and an additional $54,000 on storage,” he said.

“Even though it is free admission, this museum costs you, the taxpayer, $315 per external visitor."

EPA Chief Announces Biggest Regulation Wipeout in US History

Zeldin went on to note that his current mission is to be a good "steward of taxpayer dollars," and as such, the environmental justice museum is officially "shut down for good."

Information has already been removed from the EPA’s website.

Former President Joe Biden signed an executive order in 2023 “further embedding environmental justice” into the mission of all federal agencies. The EO “makes clear that the pursuit of environmental justice is a duty of all executive branch agencies and should be incorporated into their missions.”

The Trump administration's other department heads might need to weed out such ridiculous waste - under the premise that global warming is racist - just as Zeldin has done here.

The EPA Administrator has been on a tear of late, effectively DOGEing every wasteful thing in sight since being placed at the helm of the agency.

Earlier this month, he announced the end of multiple diversity equity and inclusion (DEI) programs, resulting in billions in taxpayer savings.

He followed that up by declaring that the EPA was undertaking what might well be the most extensive deregulation effort in American history.

“Today is the greatest day of deregulation our nation has seen. We are driving a dagger straight into the heart of the climate change religion to drive down cost of living for American families, unleash American energy, bring auto jobs back to the U.S. and more,” said Zeldin.

“Alongside President Trump, we are living up to our promises to unleash American energy, lower costs for Americans, revitalize the American auto industry, and work hand-in-hand with our state partners to advance our shared mission."

CNN attempted to fact-check Zeldin on his deregulation mission and inadvertently face-planted gloriously in the process.

DOGE is finding billions of dollars in wasteful spending, and the Democrats are losing their minds as they realize their gravy train and woke projects are coming to an end.
