The rivalry between Megyn Kelly and Mika Brzezinksi is heating up. Well, it's rather one-sided, this rivalry. It's kind of like the way a hammer and a nail have a rivalry — one side keeps winning over and over.
Kelly has been relentlessly mocking Brzezinski and her husband, Joe Scarborough, following news that MSNBC's dynamic duo had tried courting Donald Trump after his election victory. You know, following years of calling him a fascist, a threat to democracy, and literally Hitler.
The former Fox News anchor hammered the "dishonest jokes of faux journalists" and advised them as gently as possible to "go f**k themselves" after their dramatic announcement about meeting the President-elect at Mar-a-Lago.
Now, things are getting a touch personal, with Kelly hilariously mimicking a racy or, dare I say, risqué photoshoot in which Brzezinski participated in 2012.
The scene is from an interview with Kelly hosted by Sky News Australia host Paul Murray.

The crux of Kelly's argument is that Mika attempts to portray herself as "Miss Feminist" when, in reality, the MSNBC star is "full of s**t."
“She’s constantly lecturing us about women’s rights like she’s progressive,” Kelly said during the segment on Wednesday. “Miss Champion, Miss Feminist, they were on the cover of New York Magazine (sic) was it ten years ago.”
Actually, the photoshoot in which she describes Scarborough as sitting in a "power pose" while Brzezinski is sitting atop a butcher block table, one leg kicked skyward while the other keeps her balanced on the highest of heels, all while her dress struggles to maintain necessary coverage, took place in Vanity Fair.
Regardless, Kelly gave it a whirl, and, considering the circumstances, it was not a bad effort.
Megyn Kelly kept the relentless onslaught going, referring to Brzezinski as both an "idiot" and a "dope."
“I’m so over her f**king bulls**t about her ‘women’s rights and empowerment and rapist this,'” Kelly hammered. “You’re full of s**t, and we all know it.”
Somebody get the license of that truck that just ran over, Mika, please. Yikes. Megyn Kelly has been absolutely unleashed.
For those who need a refresher on what Kelly is trying to duplicate, X has a copy of the Vanity Fair cover photo with "MSNBC's Hot Ticket."

In 2012, Joe Scarborough had announced running against Obama and also announced a presidential run in 2016 🤣https://t.co/lfA94sMVtX

At the time, Slate Magazine was appalled by the image, asking, "Do We Really Need To See Sexy Mika in Vanity Fair?" and suggesting that the takeaway from the picture is that "a man is a man and a woman is a table-top ornament."
Or it could have simply been a fun photoshoot, and Mika let loose a bit.
Kelly herself took part in a racy photoshoot with GQ that turned heads in 2010. There is no word on whether Mika will try mimicking that picture in return.

Whether or not it's fair for Kelly to poke fun at her colleague in this instance, Mika and Joe have been the recipients of nonstop criticism from both sides of the political aisle since meeting with Trump.
CNN political commentator Scott Jennings joked that he "did not expect Hitler to get so many meeting requests," and when Brian Stelter attempted to run defense for the pair by suggesting they were worried about retribution from said Hitler, blasted them as "so full of themselves, so full of self-aggrandizement."
Kelly believes Mika and Joe "bent the knee" because their ratings tanked post-election, and they had very little prospect of rebounding without some sort of coverage of the 47th President.
That seems to be the most likely scenario. Either way, let's hope it leads to some more entertaining hot takes from Megyn.
