Hacktivism isn’t my favorite activity. I understand why people like Edward Snowden or Julian Assange do what they do. I even concede that they sometimes have a point. However, it often comes at a terrible negative externality cost. It happens because people who have significant power abuse that power when they feel immune from consequence. The only way to take them down is to go James O’ Keefe or Center For Medical Progress on them. If legitimate legal means won’t make them respond to decent impulses and stop doing evil, it’s time to send up the Bat Signal.

Hillary Clinton may well have a Hacktavism problem. We know good and well that she violated Federal Law and is thumbing her nose at all authority. Comprehensive Intel Report on (with attachment)”

Snowden flashes the irony as he explains how Hillary Clinton betrayed the public trust.

So, in a sense Hillary Clinton and people who betrayed trust through membership in Ashley Madison, all have three things in common.
1) They each betrayed someone’s trust in a despicable fashion.
2) They each thought they were above the law and beyond normal moral consequence.
3) They each got brought back to Earth by online activism and are now eating karma for breakfast.

I find it sad for the same reason it was sad when people shot Kennedys. By doing so, they deprived us of the catharsis that comes when the wrongdoers are brought down by the forces of law and order. Both Hillary Clinton and people who resort to online cheating sites to mess around on their wives are terrible human beings. I should stop quibbling about how they were brought down. I should just toast marshmallows over where they crashed and burned. Karma is the manner in which God always finds his own.
