So Bob Menendez has decided to actually oppose something based on principle. YOLO, Baby! We should all try out new experiences. I’ll give the man some credit. In choosing to oppose the proposed US-Iran deal negotiated by John Kerry and the guy who was threatening to lock him up in the basement with the Gimp, he chose a pretty nasty thing to oppose.

Principles are apparently new to the Senator from New Jersey and many of his former supporters found them scary and confusing. They had no problem with him when he rented out underage prostitutes while traveling abroad, but are suddenly incensed to see him develop any semblance of backbone or willingness to think for himself. The Senator experienced the joy of Twitter when he issued a terse statement regarding the pending vote.

While I find myself a wee tad short of sympathy for public officials who go in for underage sexual tourism on the taxpayer expense tab, the logic behind these accusations is laughable. He did not vote for George W. Bush’s war to remove Saddam Hussein. You can say really mean things about [mc_name name=’Sen.
