How Ebola Turned Senator Kay Hagan Into A Fire-Breathing !RACIST!

24 Hours of Bad Polling Made a Devil of Sen. Hagan.
24 Hours of Bad Polling Made a Devil of Sen. Hagan.

We’ve been told it’s !RACIST! to demand a travel ban on lights from countries that are suffering from the current Ebola epidemic in Western Africa. Streiff told us all about how Nate Silver Voxsplained* how ineffective a travel ban would be. The Progressives had given reality its marching orders and Kay Hagan sallied forth with robotic predictability to carry them out. The guidance from the CDC was wonderful according to Senator Shill. And travel bans; they just wouldn’t solve the problem.**

Then 24 hours passed and Senator Hagan got an earful of what the voters thought of President Obama’s ideas. The North Carolina GOP pounced on her milquetoast refusal to be anything other than a Stepford Wife to the Ebola Denialism of the Progressive leaders of the American Left. Here is how you gouge the political opposition below.

Yesterday, in Charlotte, she praised the Centers for Disease Control for offering ‘great guidance’ on Ebola, despite the fact that the CDC-recommended protocols failed to protect two Texas nurses, and the CDC allowed one of the nurses to fly on a commercial airline. Senator Hagan also reiterated her opposition to a ban on travel to the United States from the ‘Hot Zone’ in western Africa. Republican Senate candidate Thom Tillis supports such a ban – as do two-thirds of the American people, according to an ABC News/Washington Post poll released yesterday.

Well then. We can’t let voters have false choices. In fact, let’s not let voters have any choices at all. Rather than quoting the brilliant and unimpeachable !SCIENCE! of the Gawdallmidey Nate Silver, [mc_name name=’Sen. Kay Hagan (D-NC)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’H001049′ ] became the female version of Brave Sir Robin from a Monty Python Skit. Here is the rhetorical volta-face.

For Hagan, who publicly encouraged Obama to “temporarily ban the travel of non-U.S. citizens from the affected countries,” it marked a shift from earlier this month when her Republican opponent, Thom Tillis, called for a travel ban but she didn’t join him.

This was only technically earlier this month. It could be better described as earlier this week. Or how about 24 hours after seeing a poll that indicated how brilliant 2/3 of America deemed Nate Silver to be. But the NIH digs in. Apparently the Ebola travel ban is nice, comfy hill for people not in protective suits to die on.

Yet the people potentially held accountable are running as far away from Nate Silver, Dr. Anthony Fauci and the rest of the tenured Cathedral as they would from an actual Ebola patient. While her career dissapation light continues to flicker; [mc_name name=’Sen. Kay Hagan (D-NC)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’H001049′ ] no longer cares if Toure’ calls her !RACIST! She cares far more that he is forced to acknowledge her as Senator.
