Hate is so much easier than truth, reason or imagination. It motivates people, gets them doing irrational things with no particular concern for the consequences that lie in waiting. To give you an idea of just how motivated people get via hatred, here is a recent story from Kansas City, MO.
A 13-year-old boy who police say was doused with gasoline and lit on fire last week while walking home from school is recovering from first-degree burns to his face and head. The boy was just two blocks from his home in Kansas City Tuesday when two teenagers began to follow him and then attacked him, his mother, Melissa Coon, said. Police have described the suspects as black 16-year-olds, while the victim is white. “We were told it’s a hate crime,” Coon told KTLA.
Perhaps an effort to motivate others to do similar things while motivated by similar hatred explains what The Huffington Post was pushing just this last week when it deliberately published a photoshopped receipt that had a 1% tip and the demeaning message “Get a real job!”. This put-up job was obvious to any sentient reader. Huffpo is now up to their 3rd correction on this item and are advancing to the rear more rapidly than Brave Sir Robin from the Monty Python skit. Blogs linked by Huffpo haven’t been quite as Orwellian in their scrubbing process. Eater.com gives us a better taste of the original reporting that went into this breath-taking exclusive of a propagandic exercise.
In attempting to be somewhat charitable here, I can only attribute the behavior exhibited by the “journalists” over at The Huffington Post to deliberate malice. Attributing this to incompetence alone would require me to make certain personally unfair assumptions regarding the fine, and ideologically-driven robots, oops, I mean people at The Huffington Slime Factory, Inc. So I’ll be nice this wonderful day, and stick to questioning motive.
Just who would The “Journalists” over at Huffpo like to see doused in gasoline and set on fire? That seems to be the question du jour as we see them deliberately and disingenuously doing everything in their corporate power to stoke the hatred and jealousy that divides America all too frequently into armed camps. Why do liberal 1%-ers like Arianna Huffington seemingly cackle with delight as they publish their vile witches’ brew of lies, exaggerations and outright class-hatred propaganda?
We see in this vile and dishonest compurgation everything that Oswald Spengler once wrote about the mass media.
“The press today is an army with carefully organized weapons, the journalists its officers, the readers its soldiers. The reader neither knows nor is supposed to know the purposes for which he is used and the role he is to play.”
Everyone from Soledad O’Brien at CNN, Henry Blodgett at Business Insider, Arianna Huffington at Huffpo, and all the way down the leftist blogging food chain peddled this disingenuous crap. It wasn’t until The Smoking Gun, and Breitbart Media got involved that truth even got its boots on to chase after this hate-mongering pack of lies.
Of course, the restaurant where this iniquitous “Bankster” supposedly played his evil joke was more than happy to provide a local CBS affiliate a Merchant’s Copy of the 1% receipt. America no longer has a journalism profession, or else the fine, upstanding Mouths of Sauron who ran with this story would have indulged in a brief afternoon of fact-checking first.
When we as Americans read the media, we should no longer even have to ask whether we are being told anything that even roughly approximates the objective truth. I leave this with one final detail of the burning incident.
“My 5-year-old came in and asked me, ‘Mom, am I going to get set on fire today?’” Coon said. “I was in tears.”
Maybe that’s the question we should ask ourselves every time the leftist Media brings out another one of these obviously distorted packages of lies.
