While polls early on showed a tight race between Republican Senator Marco Rubio and Democratic challenger Val Demings, the Florida Senate race has been called fairly quickly.

Decision Desk HQ made the call at 8:00 pm Eastern. As of the time of publication, Rubio is showing a sizeable 14-point lead. This will be the 51-year-old’s third term in the Senate.
