President Trump traveled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on Friday to stump for Sen. Darline Graham Nordine (R-SC), sister of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), with just days to go before the Republican runoff that will decide who carries the GOP banner into November. Graham Nordine, who is serving out the last few months of her brother's term, faces Rep. Ralph Norman (SC-05) in Tuesday's contest.
One of the things the president addressed at the top of his speech was a comment made by Graham Nordine during a candidate debate earlier in the week. When asked by the moderator a question about Taiwan, she answered honestly, “I’m not that informed on national security.”
President Trump offered his take on that answer, saying that, while Lindsey Graham was a foreign relations guy, his sister would be focusing on issues related to affordability.

The president also talked about the importance of keeping control of both chambers of Congress, saying that a Democrat takeover would mean reopened borders, increased taxes, and more sham impeachment hearings targeting him and his administration.

And one of those lunatic Democrats, Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, got some special attention for his questionable ties to Muslim extremists.

There were, of course, many lighthearted moments, including President Trump calling his trademark song, YMCA, the "gay national anthem."

The night was classic Trump – part campaign rally and part freewheeling comedy routine. He was in Myrtle Beach to make sure Republicans, and his candidate in particular, hold on to Lindsey Graham's seat.
The midterm elections are only 74 days away.
