The U.S. had a big game against Turkey on Thursday, a chance to make history in its final game before moving on to the next stage.

They've already made it to the knockout round based on their prior two wins, which have given them six points in the tournament. But they've never won all three group matches in a World Cup, so if they could do that, that would be a first.

So they were definitely pumped up for the game.

Everyone had their hands over their hearts and was feeling that national anthem.

You might have caught Second Lady Usha Vance there in the stands. Because it was Los Angeles, there were a variety of different celebrities in attendance.

It was a tight, exciting game.

The U.S. jumped out to an early lead with Auston Trusty's first goal.

But Turkey answered back and then took the lead with two goals.

Then, Sebastian Berhalter tied it up with the equalizer for America.

Christian Pulisic subbed in and seemed to be in good shape. He almost scored, but he just missed wide.

Then Turkey took the lead in the final moments of stoppage time and won the game.

While the U.S. didn't win, the team still moved on. They will be playing Bosnia in the Round of 32 on Wednesday, July 1.
