There's been another Secret Service-involved shooting — this one near the White House on Monday afternoon.
An armed man was confronted by Secret Service agents. The man was shot by the Secret Service, taken into custody, and is now being treated at the hospital.

BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE: Secret Service Uniformed Division officers shot a man who they thought might have a gun at the @WhiteHouse this afternoon before President Trump's press conference.
When the @SecretService officers confronted the man, it went sideways, and they ended up shooting him, sources in the Secret Service community told @RCPolitics.
All Secret Service officers are safe -- but the man is down and in custody.
Update: I'm told the man did have a gun.

Judge Apologizes to Would-Be Trump Assassin, Sparks Outrage
This latest incident, of course, comes just over a week following an assassination attempt on the President and his Cabinet members at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner. Cole Allen has been charged in that incident.
Thankfully, as with the WHCD incident, no Secret Service protectees were injured. Nor were any agents injured in Monday's incident.
