Democrats think they finally found an Achilles heel to go after concerning Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination. Not content with coordinating idiotic protests, lying about his comments related to abortion and claiming Republicans tried to “hide” documents made publicly available, they’ve settled on a new narrative.
Brett Kavanaugh is a perjurer.
As I wrote, previously, left-wing Democrats are pushing the narrative and Democrats on the judiciary committee are following along like trained seals:
Brett Kavanaugh used materials stolen from Democratic senators to advance President Bush's judicial nominees. He was asked about this in 2004, 2006 and this week. His answers were not true. https://t.co/YNYOyJUiDC

The media never talks about “Democratic overreach” despite the fact they engage in it constantly. Thankfully, cooler heads are prevailing. Here is Benjamin Wittes, the editor-in-chief of Lawfare, a popular legal blog, Here are some selected tweets. But you should read the entire thread and David Lat’s as well.
These three threads from @DavidLat are very strong and worth your time. I would like to add a couple of points that apply to all three lines of questioning: Do you really think Brett Kavanaugh is so dumb—so mind-numbingly, idiotically stupid—as to lie under oath in this setting? https://t.co/CyNLbhttpN

There’s a far simpler explanation for Kavanaugh’s behavior: He believed his testimony in 2004 and 2006 to be truthful, and he told the truth as he understood it this time too—and that any errors are minor and inadvertent and not the result of trying to cover something up.

There are a lot of good reasons for liberals to oppose Kavanaugh. He’s a genuine conservative who will do a lot of the things liberals are afraid of. One of the reasons to oppose him is not that he’s some kind of terrible person. He’s a thoroughly decent and honorable person.

Long story short here is, Democrats should stop being stupid.
It’s sage advice but they likely will not follow it.
