Well…as has been said by many conservatives, it’s a good thing we drained the swamp and eschewed a bunch of viable conservatives for Trump-right candidates so we could vote for spending bill packages even Democrats will vote for.

As Joe Cunningham wrote here earlier, many conservative groups who have been supportive of Trump came out hard against the omnibus. And many have noted that before Donald Trump, no Republican Congress would’ve passed such a bill and the GOP base would be screaming.
The irony of this #Omnibus is that it wouldn’t pass with a traditional Republican president. No way Romney/Rubio/Cruz/Walker would inflame the base with such an abandonment of fiscal restraint 7 months before an election… or ever.
